Neglected my southside garden in part because of gentrification. Hear me out. My home does not have a front gate. I desire a wrought iron gate. I want what I want. But I'm mom to a six year old, a "small but growing" business owner and a gate is not a priority right now. So on one side of the house I am creating a Queen's Court. A garden with beautiful exotic flowers and plants for zone 6. I desire it to be something guest and people walking by can receive joy as they see it! I plan to cut flowers to beauty my home and give some away. We have a nice size space for the Queen's Court but now it is overgrown with weeds. There is also a big bush that sits between the garden and the pathway leading to my backyard. I really need to dig up this bush but it is pretty large. It also acts like a security feature. One time we went out of town and found out local hookers were bringing clients to our outside basement stairs! I also caught youth jumping my neighbor's gate to break into a new home on the market. So the bush is going to have to stay up for a while because I can't have folks running through my backyard and all of that nonsense. So in the meantime while I am manifesting my front gate I am going to start some seedlings, install the garden, and keep the bush for security. Here are the roots, bulbs, plants, starter plants I am seeking:
Elephant ear, Variety Color Gladious , exotic color hostas, lavender, rosemary, lemon balm, collard greens, large hot pink peony, and dinner plate dahlia pink and Cafe Au Lait. It's planting season and I have space to start plants inside. If you have roots or tubers I'm locate in the Bronzevile neighborhood in Chicago. We can meet or you can mail. Please and thank you!
