I have about 30 organic, non-GMO tomato plants, some heirloom & artisan, to give away over the next few days. Varieties include Sungold, Rutgers, Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, Red Pear, Black Prince, Black Cherry, Radiator Charlie's Mortgage Lifter, Stupice, Sweet Chelsea (red cherry), Ox Heart. Pickup in Castro Valley, very near the Grove Way exit off I-580. These are in 4-inch pots, and are around 18" high, producing blossoms. You can contact me about these plants by private messaging me here (messaging available from profile by hovering over the member's pic). You can also message me through my Facebook page: VeggiePalooza East Bay https://www.facebook.com/VeggiePaloozaEastBay Update 7/12, 8 pm: Just relocated the remaining plants to these three pickup spots in Castro Valley: Mr. Wilson's Garden (3000 block of Wilson Ave, CV, look for a heart balloon), The Community Cupboard (20330 Forest Ave, CV, look for fridge & blue cupboard), and the Hayward Community Gardens (Whitman St., share table at the entrance). Please go on by, and grab what you need. Update: 7/17: All the plants at the Castro Valley drops are rehomed, but I still have about 15 fairly large (about 16-18 inches high) plants at my place in Castro Valley. Remaining varieties include: 2 Black Prince, 2 Black Cherry, 4 Black Krim, 1 Radiator Charlie's Mortgage Lifter, 1 Cherokee Purple, 1 Red Pear, 2 Candyland (currant-sized), 1 Sungold, and 1 Large Red Cherry. Just sent several home with Janelle, from this site, along with some nasturtiums to help deter pests. These last few won't last long, since folks are coming by almost daily to grab one or two.
